West side 8.03
Exactly this

Moyes and the squad have two fookin tough away games on a quick turnaround, which I am dreading, especially Everton.

But it's WHU..
so who the fook knows what's in store..

The side obviously needs a lift . And the obvious way to do that is to sign a couple of players . Which I can't see happening unless we sell diop .

I agree.. WHU certainly do not.

But what is expected..
Is an attacking side... at 'home'.. against a side that have won two fucking games ALL season and are 16th in the TABLE.

IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

I don't get the attitude that we have a right to beat certain teams. There's hardly a single game in the Prem, particularly now, which is easy. Look at Liverpool v WBA today.

Re: West Ham ⚽ Brighton - Official Match Thread
The games scheduled for us this week is a fucking disgrace BTW,
Sunday.. Tuesday.. Friday.. Get to fuck you cunts.
We don't have the luxury of taking out players like Rice.. Soucek.. Ogbonna
without taking nailed on defeats.
Ogbonna/Rice/Soucek/Cresswell/.. even likes of Haller and Coufal cannot be expected to play all three of these games

Noble?.. i'll be brutally honest here..In the career of Mark Noble he has always been my Gauge on the club's ambition.

Re: West Ham ⚽ Brighton - Official Match Thread
norm - Agree with all that, it was shocking, AGAIN. We seem to back at where we were with Pellegrini, ie bad performances back to back without seemingly being able to find solutions. If we lose to Saints and Everton things won't be looking very good.

We are miles away from being a top side.

normannomates 4:37 Mon Dec 28
Re: West Ham ⚽ Brighton - Official Match Thread
That was dogshit.
Home to BHA??
.. Our 'home' games are becoming concerning.. AGAIN.
Cowardly starting 11 and I feel the players knew it.. not that that excused their efforts.
A WHU man unleashes the dogs of flair in home games like these..
It was depressing

This current squad and management are all over the gaff it seems?

Moyes has a problem.. Home games vs
Geordies
Palace
Villa
Fulham
and now Brighton.
laboured badly in all of them.

Fickle.. Fickle.. Yea.. Yea..

Sitting pretty in 10th and all that.. but its a problem.
The home crowd would have seriously got on the players back yesterday, and rightly so.
Frustrating... because there was no need for such negativity.
guess thats just the way it is with us, always has been, as Sir Trev says, 'what west ham will turn up today'

Exactly Texas. In trying to rotate the Squad in an attempt to get something from each of these games we’ll likely walk away with a single point from all three. Play like we did today and that’s pretty much nailed on.
Mark Noble should not see a first team start for this club again.

Re: West Ham ⚽ Brighton - Official Match Thread
Of the three current games Brighton at home would be the easiest for 3 points...so should have put out a strong attacking team to get a quick win and 3 points...

Doubt the next 2 will be as easy...

Now we’ll be lucky to get any more points from the next 2 much stronger teams...

Stupid Moyes...

But I hope I’m wrong and we get more than a point or 2 from next 2 games...

When was Alan Devonshire a left back/ wingback?

Not that your point isn't sound, like.

Masuaku isn't Maradona, Madonna or Cliff Thorburn either.

Cracks me up Moyes and some people on here saying we are missing Arthur stepover ...missing what exactly? 2 assists in the last 2 seasons? Hardly hardly Alan Devonshire is he....

Re: West Ham ⚽ Brighton - Official Match Thread
That system could have worked with Lanzini starting, but as it was there was no one who could connect the midfield to the strikers, or even get it out of our half.

Darby_ 2:25 Mon Dec 28
Re: West Ham ⚽ Brighton - Official Match Thread
Well, 5-3-2 makes more sense, but it was still an unbalanced squad, all defence with no creativity to get us up the pitch. Noble doesn’t create enough and he’s not dangerous enough to play in that position. He may have played it a bit last season, but that was when we had Antonio ahead of him to provide the creativity.

The real question mark is whether Moyes was happy getting a draw against Brighton. A very defensive lineup and a refusal to bring on Benrahma makes it seem like he was always happy with a point.

Strange.

Antonio not even on the bench today, anyone know why? If his injury has got worse then we should be looking to bring a striker in next week because we clearly can't go on like this.

1st half was crap
We won the 2nd, did ok.
Sorry Noble, but Noble was far too negative and I don’t believe he did what he was told to, played far too deep, did not take us forward, too many backwards passes and running.
What happened to Bowen. He wasn’t so bad to be subbed. Took a knock? Rested?
Lanzini and Yarmolenko opened the game up and brought our midfield and wing back more forward. Both were good.
Not sure what Benrahma has done wrong, resting? He would also have been a good option to come on.
These players need to start against Southampton. The back 5 was an improvement, just need to balance it with attacking forwards.
Disappointing, but we are still doing ok overall.

Moyes needed hindsight to clock his starting 11 was a shambles when every cunt on here could see it as soon as it was announced? Embarrassing
